Amati String Studio places an emphasis on both individual and group instruction. Practice and performance techniques are combined in a balanced approach to learning a string instrument in a friendly and enjoyable environment.
Students are encouraged to participate in weekly technique and performance classes. Workshops for students are held on a regular basis as are concerts and other performance opportunities. In addition, students are offered the option of playing in a small ensemble or playing with the Sizzlers Fiddle Group.
Participation in Examinations and Music Festivals is optional, but encouraged as these provide good goals.
Music Theory for RCM Examinations is also available in group settings with small classes.
Music Education at Amati String Studio provides students with excellent techniques and discipline for academic learning.
All classes and private instruction are available to students of any age and any level. Students are accepted starting at 3 years of age for private and group instruction. We also offer many options for adult students of all levels.
